We’re helping to change the world - one editing project at a time!
Some of these include training executive leaders in Africa (Kurumbuka), empowering and educating the least-resourced in India (STEP International), providing affordable glasses for those with compromised vision (through Global Vision 2020), and running sports camps for kids that help them develop physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally (Athletes in Action).
Since PaperLift started, we have had the incredible privilege of giving away over $60,000 to educational, humanitarian, and other people-helping causes.
More importantly, it helps your good ideas get the attention they deserve.
I started PaperLift in 2008 as a way to support my family during the years we served in non-profit work in Canada and Thailand. In 2017, I attended a seminar on running a business as a social enterprise. After the seminar, I couldn’t shake the idea that I should turn PaperLift into a social enterprise. So, in 2017, PaperLift started donating all its profits to worthy causes around the world.

I’ve been editing documents for over 17 years. My educational background includes a BA in Psychology and a Masters in Religious Education from Trinity Western University, and an MA in Adult Education and a PhD in Educational Studies from the University of British Columbia.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in English – Rhetoric and Professional Writing from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, and have been editing for PaperLift for about 16 years. As an avid reader, I enjoy the wide variety of topics and documents that I have the opportunity to read and edit.

In my experience as a student, a teaching assistant, and an editor, I’ve seen how editing increases writing clarity and accessibility. Even the addition of a single comma can make a huge difference! I’ve been editing for seven years. I completed my BA in English Honours, and I’m currently finishing up my Masters in Theory and Criticism.
